The Truth About Entrepreneurship: Grit, Glamour, and Growing a Sustainable Business

The other weekend, I was sitting at a wedding surrounded by laughter, love, and fellow entrepreneurs. My friend’s husband shared how they’ve built a business that gives them the freedom to work only a set number of hours, spend time with their kids, travel often, and truly enjoy life.

Everyone at the table leaned in, captivated by the dream. Freedom. Balance. Success.

But after the conversation shifted to smaller side chats, I leaned over and asked, “Yeah, but it wasn’t always that way, right?”

He smiled. And that’s when the real story came out…

They started out just like most of us do, hustling hard, working multiple jobs, staying up late, wearing all the hats. They were on location 50 hours a week, sometimes 80. The glamorous entrepreneurial life people see now was built on years of dedication, risk, and relentless effort.

So I asked him, “What’s the secret sauce? How do I explain to people what it really takes to build this kind of freedom?”

He paused and said, “It’s not for everyone.”

And he’s right. Entrepreneurship isn’t for the faint of heart. It takes guts. It takes grit. It takes falling down, learning, adapting, and getting back up, again and again.

But here’s the beauty: through every breakdown comes a breakthrough.

I’ve been challenged, broken down, and rebuilt more times than I can count, but each time, I’ve come back stronger (with the support of my community and my fellow boss babes, of course 💪). And now, I help other women do the same.

Because I know firsthand that with the right structure, systems, and strategy, it’s possible to have both success and balance. I’ve helped my clients double, triple, and even 10x their businesses, not through overnight miracles, but by optimizing what already exists, removing friction, and bringing alignment back into their business rhythm.

That’s the foundation of Circadian Business: creating sustainable growth that works with your life, not against it.

Full transparency, I’m still refining our offerings (and gathering feedback from my amazing circle of entrepreneurs), but one thing’s clear: I’ve built this business to help others see the big picture. With an MBA and over two decades of real-world experience, I can step into the CEO’s seat of any business, identify what’s working and what’s not, and turn chaos into clarity.

Because your business isn’t just a list of services.
It’s an ecosystem.

And when one piece is out of rhythm, the whole thing gets tangled like a beautiful necklace. Let’s untangle yours.
